Born in 1969 in Antwerp, my passion for visual storytelling started at an early age. At eleven, a simple camera sparked a fascination with creating images — the beginning of a lifelong creative journey. Growing up in the quiet village of Oudenaken, in the picturesque Pajottenland region near Brussels, laid the foundation for a career built on curiosity, craftsmanship and imagination.
After studying photography, I began working as a freelance photographer, turning a passion into a profession. What started with still life and food photography gradually evolved into a specialisation in advertising and commercial imagery.
Over the past three decades, I have collaborated with brands, agencies and creative teams, creating carefully crafted images where lighting, composition and attention to detail play a central role. My work is characterised by clean, powerful visuals designed to communicate clearly and leave a lasting impression.
Every project begins with the idea. Together with clients, creative directors and agencies, I explore the most effective way to bring that idea to life. Depending on the concept, this may involve a traditional photographic production, custom-built sets, digital compositing, CGI, AI-generated imagery, or a combination of techniques. The objective is always the same: achieving the strongest visual result in the most efficient and creative way.
Alongside photography, I developed extensive expertise in high-end retouching and image compositing, allowing complete control over the final visual result. This technical and creative background now extends into AI-assisted image creation, opening new possibilities for visual storytelling while maintaining the quality, realism and attention to detail that define my work.
